This 4 HP Waterway spa pump is labeled with the part # 3721621-1D, featuring 2 speeds, running on 220-240 volts and rated at 12.0 amps on high speed and 4.4 amps on low speed. The Waterway executive 56 4.0 HP pump has a side discharge and is a durable high performance pump used in many spa brands because of it reputation for reliability and easy of maintenance when required.

  When replacing a hot tub pump it is recommended to replace the union O-ring as they can develop flat edges from being compressed over the years and when a new pump is installed without replacing the O-ring the union can leak and if over tightened will crack.

IMPORTANT
The PF- model number from your old pump should not be used as a reference for selecting a new replacement pump as Waterway has produced up to 4 known variations of pumps with the same model number which are different enough that they are not interchangeable. Always select a replacement pump with the same part number as the Waterway part number on the label on your old pump.

This model Waterway hot tub pump is very popular and is used in many hot tub brands. The model number PF-40-2N22C is typically found on most of these older model pumps. The last digit "C" in the model number only reference the Century or A.O.Smith brand electric motors Waterway used on those pumps and does need to be matched on the new replacement pumps.

Waterway now uses Century, A.O. Smith and US Brand electric motors on their pumps. They are Waterway pumps but Waterway uses different electric motor suppliers. The most important part to match on a new pump from your old pump are the high speed and low speed amps, intake and discharge size. Most older pumps will have the Executive 56 or Executive 48 label on them indicating whether it's a 56 frame pump or a 48 frame pump.
